Chaz Bolte For Mayor

As Mayor I hope to improve Borough Communications in order to better serve Emsworth. 

As I have begun to knock on doors and meet new neighbors as part of becoming Mayor I have found that communications is a common theme.  People enjoy Borough events but are never sure of the details on how they can participate.  People are still unsure if they can recycle glass.  There are few ways to reach the local government that make sense to them.

This is where I believe my professional background can be of best service to the Borough as Mayor.  Facebook and NextDoor are great, but are used by a smaller percentage of citizens than simpler and more efficient tools such as email, text services, and newsletters. I would make a Mayor’s Monthly Newsletter which I would self distribute throughout the Borough. It would have a calendar of Borough and local events as well as useful information pertaining to being a citizen. I would provide free advertising in the newsletter for Emsworth businesses.

I would also make it a focus to talk to citizens about how they could be better served and communicated with to ensure they were informed.  

Of course the best way to be informed is to hear the information first hand.  As Mayor I would do my best to create a more inviting and participatory council meeting where we listened to the concerns of our citizens and ensured they knew their opinion was considered.  In our Borough Hall we should have great discussions on the future of Emsworth where all voices are heard.  

If elected Mayor I pledge to listen to our constituents at all council meetings and will support all of those who are seeking to make their community better.
